Proteomics (LC-MS/MS)

What's Included:

*protein reduction/alkylation, in-gel digestion, extraction, LC-MS/MS, and informatics (database search for unmodified peptides)

**protein reduction/alkylation, in-solution or S-trap digestion, cleanup, LC-MS/MS, and informatics (database search for unmodified peptides)

***additional LC-MS/MS runs (ie 1-2 technical replicates)

Common Workflows:

• Protein Identification: LC-MS/MS (as listed above)
• Quantitative Proteomics (label-free or stable-isotope labeling methods): LC-MS/MS (above) + replicate runs 
   (above) + Staff Scientist/Director rate (as needed)
• Analysis of Post-translational Modifications (PTMs): LC-MS/MS (above) + Staff Scientist/Director rate (as  ccneeded)
• Quantitative Targeted Proteomics (peptide PRM or MRM): contact the Director for project proposal and cost

NOTE:  Studies needing protein/peptide labeling, protein/peptide fractionation, or immunodepletion of plasma proteins are charged at the Staff Scientist hourly rate (above).  Reagents, kits and other materials not included.

NOTE:  All reagents, standards, columns, kits ordered and received by the Mass Spectrometry Facility are charged at cost + 15% for internals and cost + 50% for externals.
