Statistics That Can Shape Disability Policy Research Project
We collaborated with Dr. Andrew Houtenville, PI of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR grant number 90RTGE0005) funded Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Disability Statistics and Demographics (StatsRRTC), to develop a brief webinar and short video that highlight the wealth of disability statistics they can provide to the public.
StatsRRTC is the largest collection of accessible disability statistics tools out there. Their tools offer over 16 years of disability statistics on employment, earnings, education, healthcare, and more. Designed with accessibility in mind, their resources ensure that everyone can explore, analyze, and apply disability data with ease.
Whether you're a student, policymaker, or advocate, you can start your journey in two ways:
- Build Your Own Statistics: Create custom county- or state-level data visualizations tailored to your needs.
- Curated ADSC Reports: Access expertly compiled reports in their Annual Disability Statistics Collection (ADSC) that track trends and provide critical insights.
