Sarah received her B.S. in Neuroscience from Haverford College and joined the Davis lab in 2025. Her work focuses on the role of JNK in the brain. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, rock climbing, and spending time with friends and family. |

Julie Cavanagh-KyrosSr. Research Scientist/Lab Manager
Julie received her B.S. in Biology from Eastern Nazarene College. She has been a lab member since 1994. Julie is involved in multiple projects within the lab. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, kayaking, and practicing yoga. |

Chandler FriendGraduate Student
Chandler received her BA in Biology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2018 and joined the lab in Spring of 2021. Her work focuses on the role of JNK signaling in endothelial cells and its impact on metastasis. In her free time she enjoys roller skating, being outdoors, and spending time with her 3 cats. |

Zeynep ItahPost Doc (1)
Zeynep received her B.S. and M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Izmir Institute of Technology (Izmir, Turkey) and Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey), respectively. She completed her Ph.D. at UMass Chan Medical School in December 2022. Her post-doctoral research focuses on understanding the role of the JNK signaling pathway in breast cancer and inflammation. Outside of the lab, Zeynep enjoys swimming and cycling. |

Sasha (Alexandra) LeeGraduate Student
Sasha received her B.A. in Biology from Boston Univeristy. She has been a lab member since 2018. Her work involves studying the role of JNK isoforms in obesity/diabetes using both mouse and cell line models. In her free time, she enjoys doing hot yoga and cooking. |

Fangyi "Coco" ZhaiGraduate Student
Coco received her B.A. in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College, and her M.S. in Nutritional Sciences from University of Connecticut. She joined the lab in 2025 and is co-mentored by Dr. Qing Yu. Her works involve understanding understudied kinases via Mass-Spectrometry based methods. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, enjoying good food (from restaurants), and snowboarding. |
