  • Curtis Barry

    Curtis Barry , MD

    GI and Transplant Hepatology

    Curtis Barry, MD is a board certified Gastroenterologist and Transplant Hepatologist. He is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medicine School. He practices at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. Dr. Barry has been treating hepatitis C since 2007. He has been involved in various hepatitis C treatment studies. He hopes to help guide providers to allow patients greater access to hepatitis C treatments.

  • Laurel Banach

    Laurel Banach , MD, AAHIVS

    Family Medicine Physician and HIV Specialist

    Laurel Banach, MD, AAHIVS is a board-certified family medicine physician and HIV specialist. She completed her medical training at UMass Chan Medical School and Worcester Family Medicine Residency, followed by a fellowship in HIV and viral hepatitis care at Family Health Center of Worcester. Dr. Banach currently provides low-barrier, street-based care through the Road to Care program and practices as a hospitalist. Her work focuses on caring for patients with substance use disorders, advancing harm reduction strategies, and educating the next generation of healthcare providers.

  • Liisa Randall

    Liisa Randall , PhD

    Director, Office Health Care Planning, Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences

    Liisa M. Randall, PhD, directs the Office of Health Care Planning within the Bureau of Infections Disease and Laboratory Sciences, Massachusetts Department of Public Health. In this position she leads development and implementation of policy and strategies to strengthen public health infrastructure and capacity for public health response; directs evaluation of new strategies to prevent and control infectious disease and to advance integration of public health and primary care; and leads capacity building and quality improvement activities.

  • Jennifer Cochran

    Jennifer Cochran , MPH

    Technical Advisor, Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences, Massachusetts Department of Public Health

    Jennifer Cochran (post-retiree) served as Director of the Division of Global Populations and Infectious Disease Prevention in the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences. She directed the Refugee and Immigrant Health Program for over 20 years prior to leading the integration of tuberculosis and refugee immigrant health activities. Over the course of her career, she has sought to strengthen partnerships with primary care for latent TB infection and newcomer health.
