2025 Lupus Medical and Educational Symposium 

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, members of the Department of Medicine and UMass community gathered for the 2025 Lupus Medical and Educational Symposium. The event was held at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester and was hosted by the Lupus Center at UMass Chan and the Lupus Foundation of New England. The event featured three special speaking sessions with lupus experts from across the country, a patient and physician Q&A and a research poster session. 
 
Roberto Caricchio, MD, the Myles J. McDonough Chair in Rheumatology, chief of the Division of Rheumatology, co-director of the Lupus Center, and professor of medicine, served as the symposium’s emcee.
