Residents Attend ACR Meeting in DC

UMass Radiology faculty, residents, and medical students joined their colleagues from across Massachusetts to participate in the American College of Radiology's annual Capitol Hill Day on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.  In meetings with the offices of our U.S. Senators and Representatives, we advocated for two primary goals: stabilizing Medicare physician payments with an annual inflationary update and passing the ROOT Act. The passage of these measures would protect patient access to care by ensuring the financial stability of physician practices and promoting the appropriate, cost-effective use of advanced imaging.
