Department of Medicine Faculty and Trainees Honored at Educational Recognition Awards Ceremony and Last Lecture 

On May 7, 2025, UMass Chan celebrated achievements by faculty of the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing, Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and T.H. Chan School of Medicine at the UMass Chan Medical School Educational Recognition Awards ceremony and Last Lecture. The Last Lecture was delivered by Mary Callery O’Brien, MD, associate professor of medicine, who previously received the 2024 Chancellor’s Medal for Distinguished Teaching. 

The Department of Medicine congratulates Ann Rothstein, PhD, professor of medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, who received a faculty award for her work in the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Elizabeth Murphy, MD, associate professor of medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine, and program director of the Primary Care Residency Track, who received the Debroah DeMarco Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, and Tenes Paul, DO, a fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, who received the Resident/Fellow Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education.
