Graduates of the Junior Faculty Development Program

Department of Medicine Faculty Graduate from Junior Faculty Development Program 

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, faculty members within the Department of Medicine graduated from the Junior Faculty Development Program. The program is the longest-running professional development program at UMass Chan and comprises a comprehensive curriculum on research, education, and career development, and an individual project completed under the guidance of a senior faculty member. 

Graduates included Elizabeth Aherne, DO, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Jennifer Coukos, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Shruti Hegde, MD, FACC, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Shrinkhala Khanna, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Robert Le, MD, MBA, MS, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine, Matthew Petersile, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Sudipta Tripathi, PhD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Renal Medicine, William White, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Pediatrics, and Abena Yankah, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine.
