July Fellow Spotlight: Caroline Gordon, MD

In this month’s Fellow Spotlight, we feature Caroline Gordon, MD, aHematology/Oncology fellow at UMass Chan. We recently caught up with Dr. Gordon to learn more about her clinical and research interests, why she chose UMass Chan for her fellowship, and why Stowe, Vermont, is her favorite place to travel! 

 


Hometown?

Barrington, Rhode Island

What are your clinical and research interests? 
I plan to pursue a career in GI oncology. 

Why did you choose UMass Chan for your fellowship?
I chose UMass Chan because of its central location and its closeness to my family. 

Where is your favorite place to travel for vacation and why?
One of my favorite places year-round is Stowe, Vermont. There are great outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. I just got married at the Mid-Mountain Chapel in Stowe in March.   

What is your go-to board game?
My husband and I love to play Monopoly Deal and Phase 10 since they can be played with 2 people. 

What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved (and still do love) Harry Potter! 

In your spare time, what TV show do you binge?
I could watch The Office a million times and not get sick of it.
