Faculty Annual Reappointment Process


Overview

In accordance with the Academic Personnel Policy (APP), article 6, faculty who fall into the “Other Faculty Appointments” category are appointed to a one-year term.  The following faculty categories are reviewed annually for reappointment: 



Annual Faculty Reappointment Process

The following is the process that is conducted annually:

  1. The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) will provide a list to the DoM of all faculty who are adjunct, affiliate or professional staff.
  2. Gennie Ludovico will provide each division with their list.
  3. The division will review the list and send to Gennie confirmation of appointment or non-reappointment.
  4. Gennie will send the full list with all responses to OFA.
  5. OFA will send letters to each faculty member confirming reappointment or non-reappointment.
  6. The process is completed by July 1.
