Faculty Annual Reappointment Process
Overview
In accordance with the Academic Personnel Policy (APP), article 6, faculty who fall into the “Other Faculty Appointments” category are appointed to a one-year term. The following faculty categories are reviewed annually for reappointment:
- Affiliate, article 6.3
- Adjunct, article 6.4
- Professional Staff, article 6.2
Annual Faculty Reappointment Process
The following is the process that is conducted annually:
- The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) will provide a list to the DoM of all faculty who are adjunct, affiliate or professional staff.
- Gennie Ludovico will provide each division with their list.
- The division will review the list and send to Gennie confirmation of appointment or non-reappointment.
- Gennie will send the full list with all responses to OFA.
- OFA will send letters to each faculty member confirming reappointment or non-reappointment.
- The process is completed by July 1.
