Instrumentation and Equipment

Our high-resolution, accurate mass instruments are coupled to Thermo Vanquish Horizon UHPLCs, which have been exclusively configured for the Core, enabling us to operate at maximum efficiency across multiple chromatographies.

Our two Thermo IQXs and Exploris 240 mass spectrometers are capable of measuring mass-to-charge (m/z) ratios with sub-ppm accuracy and have resolving powers of up to 500,000, which is critical for resolving the fine isotopes required in stable isotope tracing experiments and lipidomics experiments.  These instruments can acquire MS/MS fragmentation data, allowing us to perform untargeted, hypothesis-generating metabolomics experiments.
