The Status Quo:

Mental health conditions are widespread, costly, and require timely interventions. Despite their prevalence, access to mental health care remains limited, with nearly half of the U.S. population living in areas with a shortage of mental health professionals, as defined by the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration.

What We Study:

This study aims to improve access to mental health support by evaluating the usability and effectiveness of a mobile wellness app. The app, developed by ieso, focuses on enhancing mental resilience and psychological flexibility through behavioral and cognitive techniques presented in a conversational format.

How We Innovate:

Study participants will provide feedback on the app’s user experience and help researchers explore:

  • Attitudes toward digital mental health tools
  • Perceptions of artificial intelligence in mental health
  • The app’s ability to improve mental flexibility
