Healthcare providers often capture only a brief snapshot of a patient’s health during visits, missing out on data that could provide a more comprehensive understanding of disease progression. This gap limits the ability of health researchers to learn from patients' experiences.
What We Study:
NExUS-Health is a multi-year prospective study inviting UMass Memorial Health patients with chronic diseases to participate. The study uses sensor data from participants' smart devices to identify signals of acute care needs and other indicators of worsening health.
