David Kinzlmaier

Graduate Student, Sontheimer Lab

David earned his BS in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020, and joined UMass Chan that fall as a Research Associate. There he worked on developing CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies for Huntington’s Disease until joining the graduate program in 2023. His PhD research explores the impact of chemically modified Prime Editing templates on DNA damage responses. Outside of the lab, David enjoys travelling, live music and videogames.
