Eva Jazbec

Eva earned her B.S. in Biology from Sierra Nevada University and subsequently worked at GreenLight Biosciences, contributing to multiple projects spanning enzyme kinetics, dsRNA biopesticides, mRNA vaccines, and RNA-based gene therapies. She is currently a PhD candidate at the RNA Therapeutics Institute at UMass Chan Medical School, co-mentored by the Sontheimer and Pai labs. Her research focuses on the core spliceosome and how cellular stress modulates its composition and function to regulate gene expression. Outside of the lab, Eva enjoys playing volleyball and tennis, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
