Flaviane Silva Receives Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Faculty Award

Flaviane Silva, PhD, received a prestigious Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Faculty Award at the annual UMass Chan Medical School Educational Recognition Awards ceremony.

Flavi was recognized for being an outstanding postdoctoral fellow whose mentorship has significantly enriched the training environment of our lab and beyond. She is always willing to assist with experiments, review proposals, and offer career guidance. Trainees consistently describe her as patient, clear, and insightful.  She has a unique ability to communicate complex concepts and empower others to grow.  Flavi supports students at all levels, from launching independent projects to navigating job searches. She fosters a culture of collaboration, encouragement, and inclusivity within the lab.
