Flavi Silva Presents Renal Cystic Disease Research

Postdoctoral researcher, Flaviane Silva, was selected to present short talks at both the TSC International Research Conference in Rockville, MD and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) Science Research Conference in Southbridge, MA, on the topic of “The Future of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Research.”
She shared findings from her studies investigating how nutrient-sensing pathways, specifically mTOR and the Rag GTPases, contribute to renal cyst formation in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) and other renal cystic diseases.
