The Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at UMass Chan Medical School develops future leaders in biomedicine. The Wang Lab trains PhD candidates who contribute to our research as they begin their scientific careers.
Current Graduate Students
Lauren Majors is a PhD candidate whose thesis research focuses on virology and immunology, studying how viral infections and immune responses contribute to disease and inflammation.

Emma Vanderleeden is a PhD student studying immunology and serves as lab manager. Emma’s research focuses on how the immune system contributes to type 1 diabetes by damaging insulin-producing beta cells, with the goal of identifying new treatment targets.
