With Gratitude to the UMass Chan Medical School Community

We extend our sincere thanks to the DRIVE team and community for their leadership and commitment to advancing diversity, representation, and inclusion for value in education at UMass Chan Medical School.

Through thoughtful collaboration, practical tools, and intentional spaces for critical reflection, DRIVE strengthened learning environments and supported educators and learners in examining bias, improving accuracy, and fostering inclusive teaching practices. The initiative’s work—spanning curriculum appraisal, workshops, consultations, and open dialogue—made a meaningful and lasting contribution to educational quality and continuous improvement across the institution.

We are deeply grateful for DRIVE’s collaborative spirit and for the care, rigor, and generosity that defined this work. The impact of DRIVE’s efforts endures through the people, practices, and principles it helped shape, and continues forward as this work is incorporated into its new organizational home in the Committee on Equal Opportunity and Diversity (CEOD) of the Diversity and Inclusion Office.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to DRIVE and to the values it advanced.

And special thanks to the staff in the office of educational affairs for providing administrative support to our mission!
